Experience at rotation: My rotation at Memorial Medical Center proved to be my most challenging and rewarding rotation. This hospital had the highest acuity of all of my clinical rotations. I was able to work with multiple preceptors with different specialties and assess the nutritional status of a variety of patients. During my rotation I also extensively researched a case study involving a patient with a spinal cord injury and presented it to all of the dietitians at Memorial Medical Center.
How experience helped achieve career goals: This rotation helped to me to further develop my charting abilities using the nutrition care process. I also was able to increase my confidence in developing and delivering presentations to a target audience.
Assignment description: Apply evidenced-based guidelines, systematic reviews and scientific literature, in the nutrition care process and model and other areas of dietetic practice in a case-study presentation.
Assignment title: Attached below is my power point presentation that I developed and delivered to the Registered Dietitians at Memorial Medical Center.
