Madera Community Hospital - Outpatient

Experience at rotation:  This rotation was very helpful for me in expanding my counseling abilities.  I was able to observe the dietitian working with a variety of patients while using behavior change models and assessing readiness to change.  I enjoyed working in the outpatient setting and providing in-depth education to patients.

How experience helped achieve career goals:  This experience helped me observe and practice counseling skills that will help me be more effective when counseling participants at WIC.
