Experience at rotation: Dietary Directions is a private company that contracts RD's to a variety of facilities throughout the Central Valley. During my rotation I was able to work with a variety of preceptors and experience a variety of settings including; a psychiatric ward, several skilled nursing facilities, and hospitals. At all of these facilities I charted on residents/patients and performed several sanitation reviews of kitchens. I enjoyed being exposed to such different areas that RD's have the possibility of working in.
How experience helped achieve career goals: Due to the constant movement of this rotation, my experience pushed me to adapt to new environments quickly and to collaborate and work well with a variety of health care providers.
