What I learned: In this assignment I learned how to examine and question all aspects of a diet and summarize the information.
Reflection to assignment: This assignment made me realize how many diets are out there and how illegitimate many of them are. For people who aren’t educated in nutrition I can see how the authors may be able to convince them that this certain diet will work.
Relevance to the profession: With the overwhelming amount of diet books available to the public it is difficult to determine which are fact and which are fiction. The skills I learned will help me critique the components of diets and analyze them to decipher the pros and cons.
